Let's be Real - Mental Health for Young Minds

Mental health training for international schools

A joined-up wellbeing programme for international schools: staff who know how to respond, students who have the language, and parents who hear the same message at home.

We are an ECIS member and work with international schools in Germany and across Europe, delivering in English and German. Most schools start with one training day and build a wellbeing strategy from there.

An international school wellbeing programme, not a one-off talk

Single assemblies rarely change anything. We combine a student wellbeing curriculum, staff training and parent workshops so the same language runs through the whole community across the school year.

Student wellbeing curriculum

  • Six mental health literacy modules mapped across year groups
  • Emotional literacy, resilience, healthy relationships and digital wellbeing
  • Belonging and identity work tuned to third-culture and highly mobile students
  • Designed to sit inside PSHE, advisory or form time

Pastoral care training for staff

  • NOTICE, HOLD and LEAD tiers matched to pastoral, teaching and leadership roles
  • Recognising student mental health concerns early in a busy timetable
  • Referral, escalation and safeguarding handover that staff actually remember
  • Staff wellbeing and burnout prevention for the people carrying the load

Wellbeing strategy for international schools

  • A review of what you already run and where the gaps sit
  • A phased plan across students, staff and parents
  • Shared language and referral pathways documented for the whole school
  • Follow-up sessions so new staff and new families are not left behind

Mental health literacy for schools

Mental health literacy and destigmatisation are two sides of the same coin: knowing the signs and symptoms and how to talk about them, and building the tools to become a self-aware, resilient young person. That applies to the adults in the system as much as to the students.

Delivery

In person across Germany and Europe, or online. English and German, with bilingual parent cohorts where a community needs both.

Common questions

Can you fit this around an existing wellbeing framework?
Yes. Most schools already run something. We map onto what exists, name the gaps and fill them rather than replacing your framework.
Do you work with the whole community?
That is the point. Students, staff and parents hear the same language, which is what makes it hold beyond the training day.
Is the curriculum accredited?
Our curriculum is independently developed and MHFA-informed rather than accredited. This is what we mean when we say that the curriculum is independently developed.
