For international schools - where are you strongest, and what should come next?
What this check tells you
Most international schools already do something for student mental health - a counsellor, a safeguarding policy, the occasional workshop. What is harder to see is how those pieces fit together: whether staff share a common language, whether someone who notices a concern knows what to do with it, and whether leadership protects the time and budget to keep it all working.
This check gives you a quick, honest snapshot across the three levels we work with: Understand (mental health literacy), Respond (the skills to notice, hold and hand over a conversation) and Embed (the structures that make capability last). It is not an audit and not a judgement - it is a starting point for a useful conversation, either inside your leadership team or with us.
Answer from your own perspective as a school leader, pastoral lead or teacher. There are no right answers, and 'not sure' is a legitimate and often telling response.
Sample questions
Three of the eight questions, so you know what to expect:

There is a clear, practised pathway from a concern to the safeguarding / pastoral team.
Common questions
Who is the check for?
Heads of school, principals, pastoral and safeguarding leads, counsellors and teachers at international and bilingual schools. Anyone who wants a structured first picture of their school's mental health capability.
How long does it take?
About five minutes. Eight questions, each with four answer options. You can go back and change an answer before you see your result.
What happens with my answers?
Your answers stay in your browser. We do not ask for your name, school or email address, and no individual result is sent to us or stored. You can simply close the page when you are done.
Is this a clinical or safeguarding assessment?
No. It is a self-reflection tool about your school's structures and confidence, not an assessment of any student or staff member. It does not replace a safeguarding review or professional advice.
What do I get at the end?
A capability profile - Emerging, Developing or Established - with a short explanation and a suggested next step. If you would like to talk it through, you can book a free discovery call; there is no obligation.
