1. Our commitment

Let's Be Real works with students, families and school staff, including many neurodivergent people. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across this website and in the materials we bring into schools.

2. What we have done

• Colour contrast across text, buttons and diagrams is checked against WCAG AA.
• A skip link, visible focus styles and full keyboard operation on every page.
• Semantic headings, landmarks and labelled form fields for screen-reader users.
• A text-size control (A / A / A) that enlarges the whole page and remembers your choice.
• Diagram labels scale with your chosen text size and stay legible on small screens.
• Descriptive alternative text on images and no content that relies on colour alone.

3. Our typeface: Lexend

Every page on this site is set in Lexend. Lexend is an open-source typeface designed specifically to reduce visual stress and support reading fluency, with generous spacing and clearly distinguishable letterforms. Research behind its design links this kind of wider, more open setting to measurable gains in reading speed and comprehension - one reason we chose it for a site read by students, parents and school staff alike.

4. Known limitations

• Some blog posts republished from our previous site may contain shortened image descriptions.
• Third-party booking pages (for example our ticketing partner) are outside our control and may not meet the same standard.

5. Accessibility in our training

Session materials can be provided in large print or in a plain-text version on request, and we adapt pacing, visuals and participation formats for neurodivergent learners. Tell us what you need when you book.

6. Report a barrier

If you meet an accessibility barrier on this site or in our materials, email us and we will reply within five working days. Please tell us the page and what happened.
